Collection and Logistics: Free Secure IT Equipment Collection Across the UK

We collect your IT equipment free anywhere in the UK, record it, keep it under controlled handling and carry the job through to verified erasure and a data erasure certificate.

Free Secure Collection Across the UK

Getting equipment from your site to a wiping facility is where many disposal projects go wrong. Drives get left in storerooms, boxes go unrecorded and nobody can say exactly what left the building. Our collection and logistics service removes that risk. We collect your IT equipment free of charge anywhere in the UK, record it, keep it under controlled handling and carry the job through to a verified data erasure certificate.

Whether you have a single laptop or hundreds of devices across several sites, the process is the same. If your equipment cannot leave your premises, our on-site data wiping service wipes it where it sits.

What Our Collection Service Includes

Free UK collection

Secure pickup nationwide at no extra cost, including bulk equipment.

Recorded at pickup

Equipment is logged at collection so there is a clear starting point for the audit trail.

Controlled handling

Equipment is handled securely from your premises through to erasure or destruction.

Scheduled to suit you

We agree a date and time window that fits your site, out-of-hours where arranged.

Single sites or many

One booking can cover several locations, with consolidated records.

Wiped or destroyed

Working devices are wiped and anything unfit goes to certified destruction.

How Collection Works

  1. Request a quote. Tell us what needs collecting, where it is and how many devices there are.
  2. Agree the plan. We confirm the fixed quote, the collection date and any access requirements.
  3. Prepare your equipment. Use the checklist below so everything is ready when we arrive.
  4. We collect. Our team attends, loads the equipment and records what has been taken.
  5. We erase and verify. Each device is wiped by a method suited to its media, or destroyed if it cannot be wiped.
  6. You receive proof. A certificate and serial-level report for your records.

How to Prepare Equipment for Collection

  • Make a list of what is being collected, with asset tags or serial numbers if you have them
  • Keep equipment together in one secure location until we arrive
  • Back up anything you still need, because erasure is permanent
  • Sign out of accounts such as Apple ID, Google and Microsoft on laptops, phones and tablets
  • Remove devices from management systems where possible
  • Leave asset tags on, because they help us link records to your register
  • Pack loose drives in padded boxes, and keep laptops and small devices in boxes or crates
  • Tell us about large items such as servers and racks so we can bring the right equipment
  • Let us know about damaged or swollen batteries, which need special handling

Access, Timing and Site Requirements

Tell us about anything that affects collection: parking and loading access, lifts and stairs, security passes, site induction, working hours and who will meet us. For large or heavy items, such as server racks, share the number of units and where they are located. The more we know in advance, the smoother the day.

Chain of Custody

Chain of custody means being able to show where equipment was at every stage. We record what is collected, keep it under controlled handling and link each device to your reference through to completion, so the paperwork you receive reconciles with what left your premises. This is what auditors and regulators ask to see, and it supports GDPR accountability. See our guide to GDPR and data erasure for why it matters.

Bulk and Multi-Site Logistics

Large refreshes and clearances need planning. For projects involving hundreds of devices, multiple buildings or a fixed handover date, our bulk data wiping service schedules collections in loads, processes equipment in batches and reports by batch and location. Share your asset list and deadlines early and we will build a plan around them.

When Equipment Should Not Travel

Some organisations prefer that data never leaves site until it has been erased. In that case choose on-site data wiping. Our team attends, wipes the equipment where it sits and lets your staff witness the process. You can also combine both: wipe sensitive equipment on site and collect the rest.

What Happens to Equipment After Collection

Once collected, every device is wiped with a method suited to its media. See hard drive wiping, SSD wiping, laptop and PC wiping, server and RAID wiping and mobile and tablet wiping. Reusable equipment can be returned, refurbished or remarketed where appropriate. Anything at end of life is recycled responsibly in line with WEEE and environmental rules. Drives that cannot be wiped go to certified data destruction.

Proof for Every Job

Every job ends with a data erasure certificate and detailed report, recorded per device. Keep it with your asset register as evidence of what happened to each item.
