Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to using our website and our data wiping services.

About These Terms

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These Terms apply to your use of securedatawiping.com and, together with any written quote or agreement, to services supplied Tech labz, trading as Secure Data Wiping ("we", "us"). By using the website or accepting a quote you agree to these Terms. If a signed agreement with you conflicts with them, the signed agreement prevails.

Use of the Website

Content on this site is for general information about data wiping and is not legal, security or compliance advice. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or copy content for commercial use without permission. All content, branding and design belong to us or our licensors.

Quotes and Orders

  • Quotes are based on the equipment, quantities and service details you give us, and are normally valid for the period stated on the quote
  • A contract is formed when you accept our quote in writing and we confirm the job
  • If the equipment differs materially from what was described, we may revise the quote before work starts
  • Prices exclude VAT unless stated

Collection, Title and Risk

You must tell us about any hazards, access restrictions or special handling needs. Equipment you ask us to collect should be packed and made available as agreed. Risk in the equipment passes to us on collection or when we take control on site. Where equipment is destined for recycling or disposal, title passes to us once the agreed service is complete, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Wiping, Destruction and Certificates

We carry out erasure using methods suited to each device and record the outcome. If a device cannot be wiped, we will tell you and may recommend certified destruction. We provide a certificate and report for work completed. You are responsible for backing up anything you need before handing over equipment, because erasure is permanent and we cannot recover data afterwards. You confirm you are entitled to instruct us in respect of the equipment and any data on it.

Fees and Payment

Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice, or 30 days if none is stated. We may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. If you cancel after we have collected equipment or committed resources, we may charge for work done and costs incurred.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, revenue or goodwill, and our total liability arising from any job is limited to the fees paid for that job. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for losses resulting from inaccurate information supplied by you.

Data Protection and Confidentiality

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf in the course of a job, we will do so only on your instructions and in line with data protection law. Both parties will keep each other's confidential information confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.

General

We may update these Terms, and the version on the site at the time you accept a quote applies to that job. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues. Failing to enforce a right is not a waiver. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have elsewhere in the UK.
